Swift and Madonna Dominate a Star-Studded VMAs Weekend
LOS ANGELES. The 2026 MTV Video Music Awards belonged to two pop veterans. Snoop Dogg hosted the ceremony at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Madonna opened the show for the first time in 23 years. She then won seven trophies, including Artist of the Year and Best Album for Confessions II
- Nirvana received the Video Vanguard Award.
- BTS won Song of the Year for “Swim.”
- Kacey Musgraves performed “I Will Always Love You” as a tribute to Dolly Parton.
Style watch. Swift also won the red carpet, according to Marie Claire. She wore a black gown with a mesh corset back and a bejeweled skirt by designer Tamara Ralph. Attention then moved to Paris Fashion Week, which helped make the week’s celebrity looks some of the strongest of the month.
Sideline spotting. On Saturday, Jordon Hudson turned up at Chapel Hill to support Bill Belichick, in a pink satin two-piece with her football-shaped purse.
