Taylor Swift Reportedly Taking Album Backlash “Very Personally” — And Travis Kelce Is Said To Be Supporting Her
Taylor Swift may be one of the biggest stars in the world, but reportedly, even she is struggling with the criticism surrounding her latest music.
According to a report by Star Magazine, Taylor is said to be “extremely sensitive to criticism” and has been taking the negative reviews of The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore very personally.
The four-song release, which includes a new song about her relationship with Travis Kelce, reportedly received the worst critical reception of Taylor’s career, with the Encore Edition scoring just 39/100 on Metacritic based on eight reviews.
Some critics were particularly harsh, accusing the songs of being repetitive, flat and adding little to the original album.
A source quoted by Star Magazine claimed: “These songs are like her babies, so when people tear them apart, she can’t help but take it very personally.”
The source added that Taylor is used to “knocking it out of the park,” making comments that she has lost her touch especially difficult for her to deal with.
But there appears to be one major source of comfort for the pop superstar.
According to the report, her husband Travis Kelce has been supportive of her throughout the backlash.
Taylor has faced criticism before, but with her latest project reportedly becoming the lowest-rated release of her career, fans are now wondering how much the reviews are really affecting her.
Do you think Taylor should ignore the critics and keep doing her thing?
