The tennis icon stepped onto the red carpet in a silver Marc Jacobs mini dress with a high slit, after revealing last August that she has been using a GLP-1 medication to help with weight loss. She accessorized the look with gold heels, with golden vines wrapping up her right leg.
While her husband Alexis Ohanian was not in attendance, sister Venus Williams was spotted earlier on the carpet wearing a Swarovski crystal mesh gown inspired by Robert Pruittās Venus Williams, Double Portrait. Venus is a co-chair for this year’s Met Gala along with BeyoncĆ©, Nicole Kidman, and Anna Wintour.
I had never taken shortcuts in my career and always worked really hard. I know what it takes to be the best,ā Serena added. “So it was very frustrating to do all the same things and never be able to change that number on the scale or the way my body looked.”
