Taylor Swift fans can’t get over how deeply “unserious” Travis Kelce is in new footage of the footballer from his preseason practice sessions.
The Kansas City Chiefs’ social media team captured the NFL legend arriving at training camp earlier this week alongside running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire.
The two sauntered across the green with Kelce trailing slightly behind. As Edwards-Helaire clocked the camera recording their entrance, he pointed back to the tight end, introducing, “That’s my friend, Travis,” as he walked by.
“Hi,” Kelce added, waving at the camera as he continued on. “I’m his friend!”
The team further emphasized their relationship by dubbing them the “bestest of friends” in the caption of the video uploaded to TikTok on Sunday, July 28.
Fans—especially those that originated with his superstar girlfriend—were tickled by how “casually funny” he was in the clip, with one commenting, “he’s so unserious😭” on the social media platform.
“Lololol they are so goofy 🤪,” another comment read, while a third fan said, “So humble 😂.”
“Mr. So High School 😂😂😂,” one Swiftie wrote, referencing a song from the singer’s latest album that is widely presumed to be about the player, while another joked that “Tay would be so proud knowing that he made a little friend on the first day of school😂.”
“So happy Travis is making friends at training camp,” another said. “I was worried he would be lonely 😂❤️.”
“Did they trade friendship bracelets yet and if so what did they say?” someone else joked, as Kelce is often spotted participating in the Swiftie tradition of exchanging bracelets.
Fans have also been having a blast trolling the tight end over his training camp digs, imagining them covered in posters of the Eras Tour star like the college dorm rooms that they are.
