‘Selfish’ Prince Harry accused of ’emotionally blackmailing’ King Charles in fresh row…
Prince Harry has been branded “selfish” after being accused of stopping his dad, King Charles, from seeing his grandchildren following a security dispute. It was reported earlier in the week that fears are growing that the most senior Royal might not see Prince Archie or Princess Lillibet again as Harry allegedly said he won’t bring them to the UK.
It has already been a couple of years since the King last saw Harry’s children and sources close to the Royals fear that it could be much longer. It comes after Harry and his family lost taxpayer-funded security.
Political Commentator, Lee Harris, has now accused Prince Harry of being “selfish” as he said Harry is “emotionally blackmailing” the King. Appearing on GB News, when asked if he thinks Prince Harry is being “selfish”, Lee replied: “Yes, I do. And it does feel a little bit like he is doing this to make a point.
“He is emotionally blackmailing King Charles by saying ‘look, I want to get the security for when I come over to the UK for my wife and me because we feel like we are going to be attacked or whatever’. Fine. And he’s been told he can’t have that.
“And he’s kind of gone ‘ok then, well if I can’t have that, you can’t see your grandkids’.”
Fellow political commentator Joanna Jarjue disagreed with Lee, whilst on the news show, as she said: “[King] Charles, I can’t fathom why if your kids and grandkids are coming to see you, why you wouldn’t just grant them security.”
King Charles last saw Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, in June 2022 when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex returned for the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
In an ITV interview, the Duke of Sussex appeared to confirm that he would travel solo in future. He said: “All it takes is for one lone actor who reads this stuff to act on what they’ve read.
“And whether it’s a knife or acid, these are things that are genuine concerns for me. It’s one of the reasons why I won’t bring my wife back to this country.”
