Robert De Niro, 81, and Girlfriend Tiffany Chen, 45, Make Rare Red Carpet Appearance

It was date night for Robert De Niro and girlfriend Tiffany Chen when the couple attended the premiere of Megalopolis in New York City on Monday, Sept. 23.

The 81-year-old actor and his 45-year-old partner, who share a 1-year-old daughter, Gia, were seen smiling and holding hands on the red carpet for Francis Ford Coppola’s new film.

The iconic movie star, who famously worked with Coppola on The Godfather Part II, wore grey pants and a polo shirt with a navy blazer for the affair, while Chen wore a long-sleeved black-and-white dress with a plunging neckline.

According to Deadline, De Niro criticized Donald Trump during a pre-screening Q&A with Coppola and Spike Lee.

“Just imagine Donald Trump directing this film,” he said.

“It’ll never go anywhere, from total craziness. He cannot do anything. He cannot hold anything together…He wants to destroy the country. And he could not do this movie. He could not do anything that has a structure.”

“I’m worried,” De Niro said when asked about the future. “I see the things in Francis’ film about that, the parallels and so on. To me, it’s not over ’till it’s over and we have to go at this wholeheartedly to beat the Republicans—those Republicans, they’re not real Republicans—and beat Trump. It’s that simple. We cannot have that type of person. Everybody has to get out there and vote.”
