Rihanna Is Not Having Any of Your Quiet Luxury Nonsense

Leave it to Rihanna to turn a button-up and jeans into one of her most attention-grabbing outfits in recent memory.

The singer and entrepreneur turned the Santa Monica sidewalk into her own personal runway last night when she left dinner at Giorgio Baldi. For her outing, Rihanna accessorized the hell out of a simple white button-up and light wash blue jeans. Rih donned a pair of stiletto pointy-toe leopard print boots, which she wore slouched around her calves. Also in an apparent nod to the animal kingdom, she carried an enormous brown fur Saint Laurent purse, complete with a chain crossbody strap.

Even when Rihanna tries traditionally “quiet luxury” labels, she still has a way of making a bold statement. Take last night’s sunglasses of choice: a pair of oversized, ski goggle-esque aviators from Phoebe Philo. Of course, no look is complete without jewelry. She layered a diamond tennis necklace over a statement piece with a large pendant, along with a bracelet and ring.

Heading into fall, Rihanna is making the case for a “more is more” take on accessorizing. Quiet luxury who?
