Jennifer Lopez looked like she had a blast at her 55th birthday party. The Bridgerton-themed bash occurred in the Hamptons in New York over a July 2024 weekend. Ben Affleck reportedly didn’t attend the event, as he’s been on the West Coast in Los Angeles for months. It’s unclear if Affleck planned to celebrate Lopez’s birthday separately, as her actual birth date is July 24.
Lopez posted footage of the event on Instagram. “Dearest Gentle Reader … And a splendid evening was had by all,” she captioned the post, which showed horse-drawn carriages and live orchestral music. The evening featured Regency-era dancing, and every attendee arrived in 1800s-appropriate costuming.
As for Lopez, she wore a sparkling ball gown with a corset top to start the evening before changing into a green dress later in the night. She wore her hair in a large updo. The Instagram reel shows Lopez singing into a microphone at her party while drinking champagne. She also had a beautiful tiered cake with sparkler party candles.
A few hours before Lopez posted footage from her party, she posted a thirst trap to Instagram. The selfie shows the star showing off her curves in a white swimsuit.
She dressed up the look with gold jewelry and had her hair back in a simple ponytail. “This is me … now,” she captioned the post with a birthday cake emoji, referencing her 2024 album. The photo also prominently featured her left hand, which is noticeably missing a wedding ring.
