Patrick Mahomes is once again showing why he’s a leader for the Kansas City Chiefs.
After the team’s big 27-24 win over Josh Allen’s Buffalo Bills, Mahomes, 28, gathered his teammates in the locker room for a motivational moment before they headed back to Kansas City.
“Real quick, real quick,” Mahomes said as he rallied the Chiefs in a huddle, as seen in a video shared Monday by NFL Films. “They asked for it, and they got what they asked for,” the Chiefs quarterback continued.
With the team feeling good about advancing to the next round, Mahomes reminded his team that there’s more work to do if they want to defend their title of Super Bowl champions this season.
“But he said it, this s— ain’t done. We come back next week ready to f—ing go,” Mahomes told his teammates during the locker room huddle.
Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce joined in to pump up his teammates, shouting, “And turn it up a notch,” after Mahomes ended his pep talk.
