Exclusive: Jennifer Lopez declares her love for nonbinary child Emme and son Max as she attempts to shrug off Ben Affleck birthday snub: ‘My whole heart’…
Jennifer Lopez took to Instagram on Sunday to share a post dedicated to her two children, fraternal twins Emme and Max.
The 55-year-old multihyphenate entertainer — who celebrated her birthday in the Hamptons last week — posed with her kids, 16, in two photos.
She wrote in the caption to her 251 million followers, ‘My whole heart,’ with green and white heart emoji.
The sweet display came after Jennifer celebrated her birthday in the Hamptons while her husband Ben Affleck stayed in Los Angeles.
One image showed the star wearing stylish square sunglasses while smiling with Emme, whom Jennifer refers to using gender-neutral they/them pronouns.
Another photo, which appeared to have been taken at a separate time, showed her in a green and white patterned dress with Max, who wore personalized white pajamas and wrapped an arm around his mother’s shoulder.
A third image showed Emme and Max cuddled together when they were toddlers.
JLo shares her twins with her ex-husband, the singer and occasional actor Marc Anthony.
Within an hour, Lopez’s post collected more than 360,000 likes.
The Bronx-born star turned 55 on Wednesday, July 24, with a slew of lavish celebrations, but conspicuously missing from each of them was her husband of two years, actor Ben, 51.
The couple has been plagued by divorce rumors in recent weeks — culminating with Ben buying his own $20.5 million mansion in Pacific Palisades last week — and they have not been photographed together since early June.
Per accounts from insiders, the marriage has been on the rocks for months.
Lopez is stepmom to Affleck’s three kids with ex-wife Jennifer Garner. The former spouses share Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12.
A source told DailyMail.com that Affleck and Lopez’s respective children have been working behind the scenes to help them repair their union.
‘The kids think Jennifer and Ben are really, deeply in love, like soul mates and they don’t want them to divorce. They want them to work it out for better or for worse, like their vows said.’ the insider explained.
‘And they do feel that the two should continue counseling and talking it out, even if it is painful. They feel like if they do and say the right things that there could be more peace,’ the source continued.
Recent accounts from people close to the situation have claimed that Ben and JLo’s marital woes have nothing to do with her status as a global superstar, as some have speculated.
‘The idea that Ben thinks Jennifer is too famous and that he didn’t know what he was getting into with the attention on their marriage isn’t true,’ a source told People on Friday. ‘There are deeper issues.’
The pair appeared to spend their second wedding anniversary on July 16 apart.
